Professional LCD restoration for Garmin GPSMAP 4208, 4212, 5208, and 5212 marine chartplotters with faded, sun-damaged, yellowed, darkened, or difficult-to-read screens.
Please review these service details before submitting your unit:
- These models use an LCD that is bonded to the front lens and touchscreen assembly. Reaching the display requires carefully separating those components, making this a delicate, labor-intensive procedure with an increased possibility of LCD damage.
- The quoted service is limited to restoring the existing LCD by replacing its deteriorated polarizing film. It is not a complete overhaul of the chartplotter.
- LCD restoration does not repair, recalibrate, or improve the touchscreen. Any touchscreen problem present before service will remain afterward.
- During restoration, the LCD is separated from the lens/digitizer and will not be re-bonded in the original factory manner. Under some temperature or humidity conditions, temporary visible fogging may occur.
- If the rear housing is cracked, corroded, distorted, or otherwise damaged, we will make a reasonable effort to reseal the unit; however, original factory water resistance cannot be guaranteed.
- Replacement LCDs may be available for certain models. Contact us before ordering if you believe the display requires replacement rather than polarizer restoration.
- The unit must otherwise be functional. Circuit-board faults, liquid damage, broken controls, and unrelated failures are outside the standard LCD restoration service.
Select your model—GPSMAP 4208, 4212, 5208, or 5212—when submitting your request.
This is a service request only—no prepayment is required. After the order is submitted, you will receive an order number and shipping instructions.
